Clinic Policies

Denno Remedial Massage has implemented the following policies to ensure the safest treatment for all clients:

    • If you are feeling unwell we ask you inform the clinic immediately and reschedule your appointment. 
    • If you are showing signs or symptoms of Covid-19 you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. 
    • Minors (under 18) must have a parent or guardian present at all times during treatment. 
    • Clients are required to wear underwear (bottoms only) at all times during treatment.
    • The client is responsible for disclosing any relevant health history to the therapist that may impact the outcome of the treatment. 
    • Any abuse or inappropriate behaviour from the client towards the therapist will result in the treatment being cut short and full payment to be made. The client will be banned from rebooking.
    • NO SHOW appointments (not attending your appointment with no forewarning) you will be charged 50% of your booking amount.

    Denno Remedial Massage (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our clients, staff, and visitors. This Infection and Hazard Control Policy outlines the measures we take to prevent the spread of infections and manage hazards in accordance with Queensland health regulations and industry best practices.

    1. Purpose

    The purpose of this policy is to:

    • Minimise the risk of infection transmission.

    • Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients, staff, and visitors.

    • Comply with relevant health and safety legislation and guidelines.

    2. Scope

    This policy applies to all staff, contractors, and visitors at Denno Remedial Massage

    3. Responsibilities

    Management:

    • Ensure compliance with this policy.

    • Provide necessary resources and training to staff.

    • Regularly review and update this policy.

    Staff:

    • Follow all infection and hazard control procedures.

    • Report any hazards or incidents to management.

    • Participate in training and refresher courses.

    4. Infection Control Procedures

    Hand Hygiene:

    • Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after each client.

    • Use alcohol-based hand sanitiser if soap and water are not available.

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

    • Wear disposable gloves when necessary.

    • Use face masks and eye protection if there is a risk of exposure to bodily fluids.

    Cleaning and Disinfection:

    • Clean and disinfect treatment areas, equipment, and tools after each use.

    • Use approved disinfectants and follow manufacturer instructions.

    • Launder all linens and towels after each use at high temperatures.

    Client Health Screening:

    • Conduct health screenings for all clients prior to their appointments.

    • Reschedule appointments for clients showing symptoms of infectious diseases.

    Waste Management:

    • Dispose of used PPE and other waste in designated bins.

    • Follow proper disposal procedures for hazardous and clinical waste.
